Coextrusions for the Semiconductor Industry
Project Description
At Vincent Clad Metals we welcome customer requests that are outside of our normal scope of work. In the project highlighted here, a customer in the semiconductor industry approached us to develop specialized metal for high end resistors. Taking a fresh approach to a traditional method we utilized copper alloys and nickel chrome alloys to create a new process, employing an extrusion press and in house equipment. This coextrusion is still in the research and development phase, being refined and tailored to required applications. As with all of our custom cladding projects, we seek to optimize the customer’s product performance goals, including electrical properties, strength, and resistance to corrosion and wear.
For over 27 years we have been industry leaders in the manufacturing of clad metal composites, specializing in the development of application specific materials. For more details about this in-process high end resistor project, or our other abilities and value added services such as slitting, toll processing, rolling, and annealing please see the table below or contact us directly.
