Metal Composite & Custom Metal Solutions for the Research & Development Industry
Project description:
A customer in the research and development industry contracted us at Vincent Clad Metals to assist in the design of a hydrogen generator/extractor product. Our in house metallurgist worked to develop a unique quality fabricated metal composite, establishing a proprietary process for hydrogen separation and utilizing our cladding and bonding equipment to combine materials that have never been previously conjoined. These materials included palladium clad niobium and palladium on vanadium. The clad composite worked to separate pure hydrogen from hydrocarbons. The separated hydrogen can now be used as a source of energy in a fuel cell. Functionality testing was performed to ensure integrity and conformance with customer specifications.
Turnaround time for this project was 6 weeks, with products delivered to the customer in Colorado. As a leader in manufacturing clad metal composites, at Vincent Clad Metals we welcome customer challenges and specialized requests. To learn more about this hydrogen separation project or the other custom metal composites we are capable of producing please see the table below or contact us directly.
