At Vincent Clad Metals our metallurgical expertise was recently utilized by a customer in the automotive industry to design a more effective anode for a proprietary process. Our team of experts performed a full evaluation of the customer’s production operations, keeping their proprietary information secure and confidential. This R&D on their line allowed a reduction in product development time as well as cost. Utilizing our extensive knowledge of materials and applications we designed a platinum clad niobium anode mesh, welded to custom titanium racks and supports. This chemically bonded material blend is ideal for critical applications, providing high conductivity combined with superior chemical resistance. Our advanced equipment was utilized for the custom cladding procedure, along with certified welding for assembly.
The enhanced properties of our anodes resulted in better process control and optimized life, along with increased cost efficiency. Parts plated with our anodes are able to meet the OEM salt spray tests for corrosion as standards require. This product is shipped on the same day or next day of ordering, because we maintain a revolving stock of inventory for customer convenience. Additionally, we offer the ability to recycle spent material for added cost savings.
